BLOWN AWAY

LONDONA local authority in the U.K. has set up roadblocks to catch people smoking in their cars.  Under U.K.  law a car provided for work purposes counts as a public place – and smoking in public is banned.   Now Tending Council in the south of England is sending out teams of  “enforcement officers” in partnership with local police officers to stop cars at checkpoints and sniff inside, or check ashtrays, for evidence of the crime of “smoking in a public place.
And you thought the U.S. ban on cell phones and texting while driving was bad!
